I'm late (very) so a little catch-up is in order. Twenty nine hillbounders met on the 14th for a good hard session. There still seems to be a need to address technique correctness but overall there is improvement. Effort wise there is lots to be happy about but if we can combine perfect form and hard efforts....well Katie bar the door we will be smoking come snow.

Friday the 10th saw our 1st snow with up to two inches on the far west side of town and 13 inches around Rhinelander. The warm temps this week have cooked off all of that but colder (much colder) temps are predicted for next week. I will have to defer to Scott on the hillbounding on the 21st but be aware that unless there is snow we will be a go for the 28th at 5:30pm.

As cold (and snow?) is predicted it may be a good time to get your rock skis out and waxed. Scrape off the old travel wax and probably use a Swix CH7 or CH8 or Toko Red. Be ready for that 1st golf course snow or perhaps skiing the ponds at Barkhausen. I think that we may only be a week or so away.

Still no word on the Hidden Valley folks as to whether or not XC skiing will be allowed after they reopen after a few years of being closed. They have snowmaking and is less than 20 minutes from GB. Would be nice.

Get ready, I saw a lot of snow up north and it looks nice. It will come, be prepared.
