Guten Tag!

Lots to cover today. We had 22 total bounders last night including a strong contingent of HS skiers as well as an International contingent from Germany and Pulaski.

Cool damp weather with some flakes falling made for a spirited session. Note for next year: We need to have an early season "Technique day" when the weather is warm. We can work on the nuance side and get the technical issues resolved so that we can spend more time on the physical side. If you have not noticed [?] we did the same number of reps [and more] and there seemed to be a noticeable decrease in perceived exertion. Fitness will do that for you.

Snow: There is snow north again and some 1-3" forecasted for GB on Thursday. The Brown County GC does a great job of holding snow and offers some real terrain. AVOID all the greens and watch the bridges and cart paths, they can eat skis. UP type skiing sounds like ABR being the best but check with www.skinnyski.com for trail updates.

Birkie Class: We are a go for next Tue. Night . I will send and email to all on Monday the 5th so watch for that.

There is snow coming and with luck we'll be on it. I walked on the Barkhausen Ponds last Saturday [before the rain] and the ice held me but as always..NEVER GO OUT DEEPER THAN YOU ARE WILLING TO FALL IN. Hopefully the ice will firm up and we can at least get on that.

Now everyones emphasis should be to get on snow. We may have one the of the longest years in recent years so lets take advantage of it. Remember : Snow is where you find it. Get out and ski. Well done on a good fall, now, lets put that training to good use.

Danke Schein
