What a week. I finished my 32nd day on snow this year 12 of which where skied at 0 degrees or below. It must be a record. I skied 4 trails (camp, Barkhausen, Neshota and the BC Golf course) and all where pretty good. The snow is speeding up and the temps are forecasted to be peaking each day around 30* for the next few days. What a great time to ski.

We had a nice workout Wed. I learned things. Watching others ski can remind you of things you should do or of things you hope you don't look like. It never fails when I feel sloppy I see others looking sloppy and I straighten myself out. Pride is a wonderful thing......pride and ego combined is hard to beat! For those not there Wed. we all got some balls..........rubber balls that is and enjoyed the therapy they can create. We also broke down skiing and how you have to follow the trail and your body. You will never get bored skiing if you ski like a thinking man/woman.

Fred A. nailed the STC last week. Rossignol had this binding/boot thing integrated into the ski. Yea it sucked but luckily it was so bad no one even considered it.

To those at the Noque good luck....belated. Watch for results on www.skinnyski.com as well as trail reports. Don't hesitate to send in your own, be honest and have fun with it. Get out and ski this weekend, Badger State next week, so get that long ski in now. FYI the trail at Neshota is finally groomed all around and while on Wed. it was wear your leather skivies fast today it was fast and manageble. Still the best hill in the county.

STC: One of the first commercial XC ski groomers available in this country, it revolutionized track setting with it's convex track. What was it?
