BIRKIE CLASS 2005 - Power the Powerline
Birkie Class 2005
BEL
The 14th Annual Birkie Training Class is upon us. We have gotten stronger and hopefully more skifluent over the years. As a lot of you know this is a hard workout so it pays to be prepared. Hydration, flexability and strength all play a role. For my part I have worked up some new drills that will be easier on the body, harder on the brain and will work the motor some more. We have an extra week this year and we will use the first night as a soft start-up. We will introduce things, get some housekeeping in order and do a 1/2 speed dry run. There are some new things I would like to try this year (don't be scared). I would like to introduce some ski DVD images to the group. Doing a class field trip to Lakewood on a weekend and having a private TT(short) followed by a hill technique seesion would help everyone (especially me) on those nasty Birkie hills.
Here is the deal:
Wed. December 1st 6:00 pm (5:50 for the chronically late) Bellin East: Park in west or SE lot and go to 3rd floor fitness center and DOWN to the gym. Bring a H2O bottle, towel, gym shoes (no street shoes please) dry clothes and a heathy outlook. We go until 7:30 pm so you have plenty of time to party afterwards. We have no Xmas breaks this year and we go snow or shine.
Meanwhile we bound Sat the 27th at 8:00am. Scott P. is doing a Tue night in the dark bound with the Ashw. team for the gluttons out there. Have fun, start stretching.......T minus 5 days and counting.
STC: What does a weasle become in the winter? (easy, soft start)
