Beyond bounding and Norse ponies
I'm still all a quiver over the image of Chris S. astride a long haired Norsk pony, battle shield at the ready as he overlooks his next conquest as leader of the Viking tribes. Lack of oxygen flowing to the brain can make even CS look like a stoic Norse pilager.
Twenty seven Viking wannabe's charged up the hill 35 times last night in unseasonably warm conditions if not a little humid. Long term conditioning is getting better, it was only 9 weeks ago that the thought of doing 35 reps at that intensity was unthinkable. You really do acclimate, that is why you train. Training is just a way of getting used to doing things, do them right, do them often and it gets easier. The group has really ramped up the intensity and the technical improvement has been steady. The numbers speak for themselves.
There may be a issue with the lights next week as they are planning some work on the hill next week. As of this morning the work schedule is early week. Not being afraid of the dark but liking to see where I'm going, it may be prudent to make a move to Saturday mornings at 8:00 am. We would have light, could use all the hills and increase the effort for what may be the last 2,3 or 4 weeks. Unless something changes lets move to Saturday the 27th at 8:00 am. We will be done by 9:30 ish and should be no problem for those Aswaubenon kids who get up at 5:00 am to train (right). With luck it will snow and it will all be a moot point.
Well done, Let me know about Birkie Class XIV. (see previous post)
STC: EDIT. LAST WEEK: The female gyspy moth pulls hairs off it's body to insulate it's eggs.......then dies. The male is off flying around with his buddies...that beast!
