Whooooeeee! I be sore today. 23 folks (24 if you count Joe Brands flying solo earlier). A couple quick thoughts that came up whilst I was rollersking 13 hours later on the FRT, 20km classic, while Chris S. smacked his snooze button for the 3rd time, but hey..... I digress.

Technically I see great improvement, especially when fresh. There is a noticable dropoff in technique quality as intensity increases (not too surprising). Keeping your TECHNICAL SKILLS high while tired is a primary reason we do these workouts.Technique is mental, it saves energy but it does show that physical and mental EFFORTS are inexorably, if not hopelessly linked.

A good example was the last lactate interval. Many of you had given up ski technique for just getting it done. In racing it's called shooting your wad. Do that too often, too early and you WILL need that fence to lean on. Lastly, remember that we are SKI training 1st, conditioning 2nd. I promise you a good workout, don't make it too hard.

We turn on the lights next week, should be cool. Also the rope makes its return, oh joy.

Rollerskiing on the FRT at the FPBL this Sat. at 8:00am. The trail was pretty clean this morning so it should be good.
