Beautimous.

What a great day, light winds, bright sun, dry and comfortable.

1st there was 3, then four then two more. It was like a rolling stone that kept gathering moss....we kept picking up skiers on the trail. There was lots of singlesticking done and a fair amount of doublepoling with a few 1/2 mile surges thrown in. I did an exploritory blast down the Lazare hill and while not too{?} much of a risk (sort of) I found it a little too much for a group, the search continues.

What we really need is a bigger group to get us to critical mass. Saturday is open, 8:00am is not too early, GB not too big. There will be a one week break because of the interest in the Bellin Run which is good but lets try and regroup the following week. Tell your friends. A late June 40km is brewing, a July 50km is steamin' and a August 60km is on the boil. I am contemplating a Sept/Oct 100KM ski. They don't seem so bad after not doing one for 3 years, any takers?

This time of year 1-2 times a week is good with a focus on technique and drills. A Sat. morning group ski does it all. If not doing the Bellin get out and ski next Saturday, I'm sure there will be someone there. Let me know at incompetition@tds.net and I'll post it.

STC Answer: Modulus refers to the level of strength or “strain“ in a carbon fibre pole. The higher the modulus...the stiffer and lighter the pole.
