Quick note: Three dedicated (wacky) skiers showed for the 1st session. We learned that the sealcoating on the FRT is slick. That by itself is not a bad thing as it replicates skiing on ice quite well. Wet weather should not deter us as we can use that as an OPPORTUNITY to do double pole work, practice T stops and to keep the wheel bearing industry alive.

Note on days (or any day) like this to bring some basic items or basic equipment list (BEL).

Running shoes: We MAY discover the joys of duckwalking this summer. Dry clothes and a towel to sit on the way home is always nice....we do plan on sweating this summer. Water water water. 1st aid stuff if you plan on falling a lot. Money for the Dairy Queen afterwards.

Think of this week as a soft startup. I have been asked to alter the start time to 8:00 am and that will work as long as 8:00 means 7:59 am. We will typically go to 9:30 am. We  may have an overdistance session or two this summer and plan an early start.

Next week bring your skis, blades an poles ready to go at 7:59 am. (trail passes are required on the FRT) We will do some introductions and go ski right away.

STC Last week: Salomons Profil system came out in 1989.
