Rampin' Up
SNOW!!
Week two and all is sore. The class got off to a heady start with a few new twist. More than one commented on the 90 minute program being quite tough. Ha! I say, hear that? It's opportunity knocking . A couple notes: We will refine the ab/ad pulls. That could be a biggie. The sustained aerobic work will pay off but in the short run will take a while to acclimate. Expect a little soreness/moderate/servere in the next few days. It is not my fault, you will thank me......someday.
Snow, Here is the deal. Nine Mile at Wausau is shaping up as is Iola and Standing Rocks. Birkie trail is rolled and the Camp is being rolled this morning. Lakewood is being groomed. Check www.lakewoodxcskiclub.com for info. Best bets: Wausau, Iola. The camp picked up about 4. Pick a spot and get out there. Ski easy and focus on technique. Early season skiing should be fun and slow and long. Wax: Probably CH6 or 7, Toko Blues or last years travel wax if you really want a workout. Cold is predicted, dress right and bring dry clothes for the trip home. DONT GET SICK.
I will put something here Sat. Watch for it, now go ski.
ME
STC: After last night several folks said they were dead and hurting. That reminds me of a quote: and they wound up wounded, not even dead Who said it?
Part II. Tony Wise founded the Birkie. His daughter Fran also was involved. What did she do?
