New blogging software!

But the same old writer. I have moved to Community Server 2.0 to accomplish a few different goals with my blog and the web site I host it with. Community Server includes forums and while I have a very strong preference to using mailing lists, it seems that more people, particularly more young people, prefer forums for group discussions. So for the WINN site I can now offer forums as an alternative to a fairly under utilized general mailing list for skiers. Over the next few weeks I'll try to get all that working well enough to call an improvement.

Probably the other main factor in the udpate is to get some better tools for comment spam handling. My version of .text didn't have much at all in that regard and we were getting killed. As if I didn't have enough reasons to keep Texas off my mind ;-). I also like the FreeTextBox upgrade that works just fine with the debian/firefox system I have setup at home and use most of the time. I'm still discovering features and ommisions, but overall this seems like a good move.
