So, would skiers blog?

I have had this notion for a while now that skiers like to talk about their training, races, mishaps, and equipment. In part I have this opinion because of the farily active rec.skiing.nordic newsgroup that has been going in one form or another for as long as I have been working with the internet. Skiers obsessing about techique comes to mind. Unlike email, you you have to subscribe to a list or beg to be included in a mailing, blogs are completely accessible from any browser. Unlike internet news groups, blogs don't require a special server just to get access. Blogs are sometimes hailed as "the next big thing", though that remains to be seen. They are the next big thing in personal publishing to the web though and are widely used by large web sites to provide newsy listings of articles from a wide variety of sources. Lot's of well known people use them to publish ideas, stories, opinions, and who knows what. So, I set up a blogging engine for WiNN with the intent of giving something to the xc ski communty they can't get currently without extra cost or without the connection to skiers. As far as I can tell, skiers are almost completely absent from the "blogosphere".
