Lakewood trip 1/24

From the discussion at Practice tonight here’s who’s going:

 Kyle
Rachel
Mel
Aron
Annie
Daniel
Max
Jojo
Brian
Matt
Anthony (?)
Robyn (?)

I am driving.  Annie, my daughter is 18 and driving with the EHS contingent and a in  maroon Subaru outback and a ski box.  Scott Hoffman and Phil Nelson may join and drive.  Kyle will have his Dad’s Volvo (AWD) and is driving.  We will have an adult drive vs one of our seniors if drivers are available.  We will caravan up there.  Our Meeting place will be Maplewood meats at 220pm on the right on hwy 29 and Triangle just 3 miles from 41.

Brian should cart the AHS/Parkview kids to the meeting place at Maplewood.  Matt, Anthony, Robyn call Brian to arrange rides to Maplewood – OK?

Kids: there is no place up there to change so be aware – do a quick change at school.  Prior to leaving.  Also, It is good skis.  No rock skis required.

Assuming 10 minutes sorting out the rides, we will be at Lakewood at 340, old 32 old lot on the trail.  Light will fail us at 510 and we will pack up and leave at that time. That leaves 1.5 hours of skiing if we don’t waste time.  I expect only the drivers will have to put on their boots when we reach the trail head.  Everybody else jumps out of the cars ready to ski.  No messing around.

We will ski the golf course loop so I have all the kids contained in 6 k of trail.  I’d like kids to pack a trail snack and a trail water bottle so their energy level can stay up.  I will pack 3 headlamps just in case.  Also bring dry tops, hats and a snack for the ride home.

Our route is Hwy 29 to 117 exit at Bondeul, 117 to Cecil, R  north to M/R east  to R  north to 32 north.  32 to Tar dam rd,(just past 64 to Antigo) to old 32 to the lot at the old 32 crossing.
