Stump Farm Trail Race is on again!

ASHWAUBENON NORDIC SKI TEAM

The Ashwaubenon Nordic Ski Team, a competitive club racing in the Wisconsin High School Nordic League, hosts these races as a fundraiser. Currently team members attend five area high schools. Funds raised for the Nordic club cover their equipment and practice costs, race and travel expenses. The club’s stated goal is to promote life long fitness and friendly competition through Nordic skiing.

STUMP FARM TRAIL RACE

The Ashwaubenon Nordic Ski Team will hold a 10K trail race at the Brown County Reforestation Camp in Suamico on Saturday, November 12, 2005 on the twisty up and down single track and ski trails. We encourage adult and high school runners to come out. Montrail trail running shoes will be awarded to the Overall Winners and Masters Winners, male and female.

One of a Kind Curious CAT SKI RACE

Classic skiers are encouraged to enter the free CAT ski races held on a sprint distance trail. No snow, just trail! Twenty pairs of the CAT skis will be available for use for those bringing their ski boots and poles. It promises to be a good time! For info, call Scott, 920-435-1540.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Day of race registration and bib pick up are located in the lodge at the Brown County Reforestation Camp, adjacent to the parking lot and a short distance from the race start and finish.

Registration 7:30 – 9 a.m.

10K RACE start 9:30 a.m.

CAT SKI RACE start 10:45 a.m.

10K awards 11:15 a.m.

DIRECTIONS

Brown County Reforestation Camp is located north of Green Bay and west of Highway 41. Coming from either north or south, exit 41 on Sunset Beach Drive (Cty Rd B) and proceed west two miles until you reach Cty IR. Turn right on IR and continue a half mile. A sign for parking comes up quickly on your right. If you get to the NEW Zoo, you have gone too far.

T-SHIRTS $12

A very limited number will be available day of race. All sizes are adult.

AGE GROUP AWARDS for 10K

The overall Men’s and Women’s Champions and the Masters Men’s and Women’s Winners will receive a pair of Montrail trail running shoes. Useful and fun awards are given to the top three male and female finishers:

13 – 18 19 – 29
30 – 39 40 – 49
50 – 59 60 and over

RACE FEES

$17 adult
$12 students

There is a $2 per runner discount for early entries postmarked by November 4, 2005. There is no charge to the CAT SKI racers but donations for post race feed gratefully accepted.
